Bangladesh Hopes To Get Quotas For India'S Cotton Exports.

Bangladesh commerce minister Faruk Khan recently said: "we will ask for separate cotton quotas in bilateral trade negotiations with India."

Faruk Khan is currently leading a 23 member business delegation in New Delhi.


This month, cotton prices in the international market have reached a record high of 1.19 dollars per pound.

Bangladesh's textile industry experts say Pakistan is the fourth largest cotton producing country in the world and Pakistan cotton has been flooded.
