The agriculture ministers of the European Union member countries have approved a new regulation. From December 31, 2008, all 27 member states of the European Union will ban the sale and import of products containing cat and dog fur.

According to reports, only 15 EU countries have formulated laws on cat and dog fur trade, and the provisions of different countries are different.

Some EU countries prohibit cats and dogs for production purposes, while other EU countries impose strict import restrictions.

The new rules adopted on the 26 th of this month have been coordinated and strengthened the effectiveness of the relevant provisions throughout the European Union.

Although it is difficult to determine the specific number of cat and dog fur products sold in the EU market, it is believed that there are quite a number of them.
