On the 23 th, Nike announced that they were prepared to acquire the British sporting goods company NBO to expand their share in the football market, and the acquisition is part of Nike's continued expansion into the international sporting goods market.

The acquisition is very important for the American sportswear and sportswear manufacturers. They claim to be the first brand in the football market before the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

Nike's soccer products market has performed well, and has shown a good momentum in recent years. But NBO has been firmly in control of the British market, which has always been regarded as a hard nut to crack by Nike. This acquisition will undoubtedly greatly promote the development of Nike.

"This is similar to the other sports brand CONVERSE (Converse). Although Nike occupies a leading position in the basketball market, it still has some room for development," said Sara Hassan, an analyst at Seattle's McAdamsWrightRagen brokerage firm, referring to the $582 million acquisition.

Headquartered in the northwestern part of England, the company mainly produces soccer related sportswear, soccer shoes and equipment, which are sold in more than 90 countries.

Enbo has obtained a production license in 45 countries. The brand provides clothing for England, Ireland, Sweden and Norway. It also provides uniforms for six Premier League teams and more than 100 professional teams all over the world.

Nike has been expanding rapidly in the sporting goods market. Recently, in order to become a sponsor of the German Football Association, Adidas has launched a fierce competition with Adidas.

The German Football Association finally rejected Nike's $680 million contract and chose to continue to cooperate with Adidas, although the latter only offered half of Nike's price.

Nike agreed to pay $3.94 cash per share for the company's shares through its subsidiary NikeVaporLtd, which is 61% higher than that of the day before October 17th, which is confirmed by Nike.

Nike said it would continue to make the company operate independently, as well as its affiliates in the UK, just like Nike and Conway.

It is reported that the acquisition has been supported by the FA.

"The football association has been working with the company for more than 20 years.

We are glad to see that after the acquisition of the company, we will continue to maintain friendly relations, and we will also have the opportunity to share Nike's market experience and huge economic resources, "said Brian, chief executive of the British Football Association.

"Nike has assured that the cooperation between the FA and the company will be protected and strengthened. We hope to work together with these two companies to achieve greater development."
