MP3 Patent First Case Claims Nearly Billion

Just as people waited for the US International Trade Commission to announce the final ruling on the patent infringement case of the Zhuhai China patent, which was announced by the world-renowned MP3 chip supplier in September 15th, the Zhuhai power company, however, dramatically grabbed a petition on the eve of the announcement to send the SigmaTel to the Chinese court, which made the Sino US MP3 patent "first case" another wave.

Mr. Li announced yesterday that the company formally filed a lawsuit against the Shenzhen intermediate people's Court on September 13th, accusing the company of its core technology patent, and demanded that it immediately stop importing, using, selling, manufacturing the involved chip products and the players involved in the chip, while claiming 98 million yuan for the company.



According to a spokesman for Mr Li, the company's patent infringement was acquired by a chip developer in Hongkong. It was officially authorized in May 2005. The company began to prepare litigation materials after obtaining the patent authorization, and chose to file a lawsuit on the eve of the ITC ruling.

Reporters learned that the prosecution of Li Li, including Austen, a company in Hongkong and a subsidiary of the company.
