Macao CPTTM Will Create A New Vision Of Fashion
The Macao productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM) plays an important role in the development of local fashion industry. The centre organised various competitions throughout the year to encourage and discover talented local talents.
At present, CPTIM, a non-profit organization, is holding the annual Macao youth sewing and innovation design competition. Many young people with fashionable talents show great interest in this competition.
Ms Victoria Kaun, manager of garment technology department, said that the competition began in August 20th and ended today at the clothing technology museum. This year, about 33 young people with ambitious ambitions at the age of 16-21 participated in the competition. They displayed their talents in the competition. The theme of the competition was "beautiful partners".
From August 20th to 21, the General Assembly asked participants to make garments with paper, and the inspecting inspects the size and tailoring techniques. On August 25-26, participants made eight sets of wedding dresses or evening wear with ideal fabrics. The best judges of the fashion and design sessions today pick out the best skirt and win the winner. The design of the winner is the most innovative and outstanding.
Ms Victoria said that the Macao center is a member of the Asian Fashion Federation and the International Apparel Federation. The center pays close attention to the development trend of global fashion. Asian and international associations help CPTTM conduct training courses to make people more aware of fashion.
CPTTM started such competitions in 2002 when there was only a sewing competition. This year's competition has increased the content of innovative design.
The centre also organizes various seminars and exhibitions to ensure that Macao's textile and garment industry is in line with the international trend.
Experts say that if more organizations and institutions participate in such activities, the local garment and textile industry will be able to achieve global competitiveness and expand the export of local products through innovative designs by local designers.
