Jute Council India

In August 14th, the central government of India planned to set up a jute Committee, a jute Manufacturing Development Committee (JMDC) and a national jute diversity center (NCJD).

Textile minister Shankersinh Vaghela said the government plans to merge JMDC and NCJD and set up a jute Committee, which has been submitted to Congress.

He said the factories under NJMC will be revitalized through the PPP project.

He said he hoped the cabinet committee would approve these enterprises to adopt the PPP project's revival plan.

In the PPP project, the government accounted for 51% of the shares, forming the management committee, and the private party company accounted for 49% of the shares.

However, private companies have the power to manage and control.

In 2005, NJMC provided 9 billion 780 million rupees for about 16000 voluntary retirees.
